From: In Defense of Animals

Zoos and aquariums are run by heartless thugs who separate animals from their friends and families for whatever whims they choose.

Wanting baby bear cubs to increase attendance is not a good enough reason to break a bear’s heart. And no, the San Diego Zoo nor Sea World has never restocked wild populations of polar bears, so don’t buy the conservation sham being sold here.

This death is on SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo’s hands and the people who pay admission to support these corporations. RIP Szenja. We’re sorry that these corporations and so many members of the public didn’t care about you.

Living and existing are two very different issues. I believe most people just exist. I find this quite sad. In my situation I am only able to ‘exist’. How I wish I could truly ‘live’.

My life, ninety-five percent of it, is spent in a bed. I’m a prisoner in my own home/body and I didn’t even commit a crime. Constant back pain and edema make it hard to ‘tool’ around in my wheelchair. We can no longer afford a caregiver, so most days I’m on my own. Thank the Universe for my rescue pups.

If I sound miserable… it’s probably because I am! lol I know, not funny. The old adage, you don’t get it until you get it, is so true. I’m a realist…I have to be. I’m not going to get better or go in to remission. If I am unable to try the new medication, Ocrevus, I’m fucked. I talked to a department of my Blue Cross ins. regarding the medication and if they will cover it. I was told no at my neurons office, but figured i’d go straight to the proverbial horse. It may not even work, but I have to try. But, like my one blog says, I may not even qualify for the medication. That’s on the maker of the medication.

It is all bout the numbers, not our well-being. It’s more important to keep the percentage up then to get the medication to those of us who have severely progressed. The GREED that is America!!

For those of you [healthy peeps] reading this, just existing, get the fuck up and LIVE!!! Go on that trip you keep putting off. Wear that ‘dressy’ outfit to the grocery store. Play hooky with your kids and get to the beach or hit the park. Get out of your ‘safe’ zone and go skydiving… you know what I’m saying. LIVE PEOPLE!!! You do not know what tomorrow may bring. I NEVER thought I would get ill. I wasted so much time. Please, I beg of you, don’t make the same mistakes I did. If you can do it, do it now…

Peace out!

It’s not fucking rocket science!!!

Any person who abandons a senior animal (or any animal) at a shelter has lost all their humanity. These people should not be allowed to ever have another animal. It is a privilege to have a pet in your home, they are not property, they are family. People who do not feel this way, should not have any pets.

Remember, adopt don’t shop!

Blessings to all the animals unwanted, abused, and thrown away! You all deserve(d) so much better.

Facebook banned me for the 12 hours because of a link, FACTUAL LINK, posted to my patrick page in 2012 …. srsly over one year ago, and someone reported it just now!!!

There are court documents regarding this case and the animal abuser pleaded ‘no contest’ as she could not prove her innocence. I did my own research and it is factual!!

I posted to my patrick page because she still works with animals!!!! If it had not been true, I would not have posted it. But. I’m sorry, I protect animals and people like this need to be stopped!!

FB had NO right to ban me for the TRUTH!!!

This post is coming from a new account I was forced to make due to being banned. No fake name, as I have nothing to hide!!!

Sad that some feel animal abuse is okay!!! This person who reported the link and anyone helping her have their priorities messed up!! Guess it’s true what ‘they’ say, “Ignorance is bliss.”

This is the link I shared that was reported: Pet Abuse.com

Here are other links with information as well:

Pet Abuse.com ANM profile

Rescue Hall of Shame: Ashley Nicole Miller

The Good the Bad the Unforgivable of Animal Rescue  << gives detailed information pictures, etc

This really irritates me!!! People can make hate groups, porn groups, groups showing violence on Facebook, but when the truth is shown they delete and ban!!!

It’s all about the money!!!

Sweet Patrick is finally ‘home’! His living status has been up in the air for quite some time. He has been fostered by the Scavelli’s since he was able to leave their clinic, Garden State Vetrinary Specialists. The Scavelli’s wanted to adopt him from the get go, but The American Humane Society and Popcorn Park were fighting the adoption as they claimed he was their property!! SMH Sad, sad, sad…

The awesome news… It has all finally been settled and Patrick is now in his furever home with the Scavelli Family!!! WOO HOO, it’s about time!!
