The Coronavirus and You!

From a Very Wise Friend

Let’s say you wake up with a terrible cough, fever and body ache. You immediately go to the doctor and unfortunately you are diagnosed with covid-19. In the last two weeks you were not aware that you were infected, and you ignored “the rules”.

You hung out with some friends to eat a pizza, you invited people home and you even went to a park and a beach. You thought “I don’t feel sick. I have the right to continue living a normal life. No one can tell me what to do. ”

With the diagnosis of Covid-19 you spend the next few days on the sofa in your house quite badly, but soon you feel better, because you are young, you are healthy and you are strong. How lucky you are!

But you infected your best friend during that visit to your house, and since she didn’t know she was infected, she visited her 82-year-old grandfather, who uses oxygen to help him breathe because he has COPD and heart problems. Now he is dead.

Your co-worker, who has asthma, also caught the virus from you. Now he is in the ICU and he also infected his family members, who will not know it for two weeks yet. The boy who charged you for the pizza at the restaurant took the virus home, his wife has multiple sclerosis and this makes her immunosuppressed, she is not as lucky as you, so they take her to the hospital because she cannot breathe. They may need to induce a coma and intubate her. You may not be able to say goodbye to your loved ones. She may die surrounded by machines, without her relatives around her.

And all this because you were uncomfortable wearing your face mask or you did not like to stay at home or change your routines for a little bit over all other rights, and you wanted to continue living your life normally; You also believe that no one, no one, has the right to tell you what to do. But:

#socialdistance – NOT for you!

#usacovers – NOT for you!

#stayathome – NOT for you!

IT’S FOR EVERYONE! Responsibility and empathy is called. IF YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, 😷 you take care of the ones you love the most. Think about it! 🤔

Copy and paste it! That’s how I did it.

Am I alive or do I just exist?!

Remember these from July 2019. My wonderful bladder stones thanks to my wonderful urostomy. So I was supposed to get this taken care of back in August 2019. Didn’t happen because that’s when I had to go to the hospital because I thought I broke in my hips and my back when I was trying to get in to rehab. Thanks to Independence Blue Cross not allowing me rehab I was unable to get out of my bed so we kept rescheduling. Now with the virus I was rescheduled twice, and today they called to tell me it had to be pushed back to May 26. But it’s really only a tentative date because it may change again. So basically I’m filling up with so much bacteria and that’s probably why I feel a little clammy and not well at times. I try to do everything right but nothing ever goes right. Possibly because I am left-handed. 😂😂 I’m joking… Or am I. 🤔

I am trying to find the humor in all of this because that’s the only way I survive. But man, it’s getting harder and harder to laugh. I know I know, I should be glad because I’m alive. Am I alive or do I just exist. You’ll be the judge. 🤷🏻‍♀️😕

There’s an alien in my bladder

I’m wondering how many more are in there now. 😳

It’s mandatory to wear a mask in Los Angeles

Starting April 10, 2020 it will be mandatory to wear masks in Los Angeles. Non-medical essential employees must wear masks. Customers using these establishments must also wear masks. In the future, the city could start to hand out tickets if you do not comply.

Riverside county will also have this in effect. You may possibly end up with a nice hefty $1000 fine if caught without one.

Personally I think this is a great idea. I am watching videos of people still going to friends houses, parties, the beach. I get it, quarantine sucks. Look at it this way, at some point you’ll get to do all your normal activities again. You have something to look forward to. So please stop complaining. Quarantine is my life and has been for six years. So please, just get over yourselves and do what needs to be done so we can get through this. #StayHome #StayTheFuckInside #WearYourMask #DoYourPart #Quarantine

MS Awareness Month day 30

The month is winding down and as we all know it’s been a crazy one. With Covid-19 floating around we all have to be a little extra careful thanks to our wonderful autoimmune disorder. Especially those of you on a DMD, please take extra precautions. My heart, hope, and love is with you all!

And with everything going on, I think we need a little humor from time to time.

Have courage and be kind.

Being a shut in is nothing new for many of us…

With everybody freaking out about being quarantined to their homes and not being able to go out to dinner, go shopping, etc.… This is nothing new for some of us. I’m not sure how to feel about it. It’s actually quite depressing. So for everyone whose lives are being up-ended over this, please get over yourselves. For some of us it’s life as usual.

Buuuuut… I get it, it’s hard. Really I’m sorry that by doing this you’re protecting the elderly and those people with chronic illness and autoimmune disorders. I completely understand that it’s affecting your life. And I’m sorry that people like me have to take extra precautions. I mean seriously, bless your little hearts. But, again, get over your damn selves and just deal with it. 😏
