I left my heart in San Francisco…

Well, not really. I was born in San Mateo and lived in San Jose for a bit. Do you know the way to San Jose? I do!

My heart will be in San Francisco as my dd [darling daughter] is on her way there with her HS Band.

She’s a traveling fool. Last year she went to NY and now SF. By the time she graduates she’ll be well travelled. We hope every year we can afford to send her on these band trips, as these are the times she will always remember. I so hope she has a fabulous time. She needs the break, and this is just what the doctor ordered!

Can’t wait for some pics and to see what she brings me back… hmmmm, she’d better get me a gift! 😉

Off for now! Peace out!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, what are you thankful for? Are you thankful for family, friends, wealth, or health? [if you have any of those things] 😛

Well, here is my take on Thanksgiving… [read at your own risk]

Columbus discovers America. [didn’t know you could discover a place already inhabited] He sent word home to send more people over. It’s a great land. More people come, but ‘uh oh’, they start dying from starvation, cold, disease. The people, who already lived here, [Indians] step in and teach the people to hunt, grow fields, keep warm, etc. Well, WOO HOO, send more people over we are saved!!

The people [white man, pilgrims] are thankful and [supposedly according to the history books] throw a feast fit for Kings. Thanksgiving!! [thanks for giving?] All is good in the World… for a little while.

I guess it is true, survival of the fittest, only the strong survive, etc. Well the ‘people’ were so thankful that eventually their greed took over and they decided they wanted the land all to themselves. Now they showed their thanks by slaughtering a culture of people. [Indians]  hmmmm just doesn’t sound right to me. But hey, isn’t that how it’s always been. We go in and take what we want. They gave, the people took. And they/we call it Indian giving…

To sum it up, we [people] came over, started to croak. They [Indians] came to our aid and saved us. [people] In the end we [people] showed our thanks by giving some land to them [Indians, when it was their land first] then took it back [And they/we call it Indian giving] and killed them [Indians] so we could have the land all to ourselves.

hehehe

I know this isn’t your typical Thanksgiving blog and sorry if it offends anyone. [not] I guess we can get past the true history of the Holiday and give thanks for the now and what we have. I am thankful for my family and friends, everyday, not just on Thanksgiving. To me, it’s just another day in the year, a day we can outwardly acknowledge our thanks. But, at what cost…

Happy Thanksgiving…

PEACE!

I ‘got’ an Epiphanie!!

No, I didn’t ‘have’ an epiphanie, I got one. An Epiphanie camera bag that is.

My Canon camera bag is nice, but let’s face it, it’s more of a ‘man’ bag. It’s big and bulky and very hard to get in and out of. Being in a wheelchair it’s very hard to carry around along with my purse, phone, and well you know! lol

———————————–

From the Epiphanie FB page:

Our mission is to save cameras from being banged around in purses, while liberating stylish women photographers from the Manbag.

———————————–

Being in a wheelchair, the Epiphanie Bag is the solution for me! I can put the strap cross-body and lie it in my lap. It will be easy access AND carry all my other necessities of life. I’ll finally be able to have my camera with me. I cannot wait for it to arrive. The biggest and only problem I had on the site was deciding which one to buy! lol It took me over an hour. My daughter Ashley was the tie breaker.

The winner is:

Ginger in black

I did my research as well. There are ‘other’ bags [which will remain nameless] similar to this, but the comments and posts I read in forums, came right back to Epiphanie.

I must also thank my friend and fabulous photographer, Jen, for sharing the link to Epiphanies FB page.

I highly recommend checking out Epiphanie and joining their FB page if you are a female photographer looking for a new and stylish way to carry all your camera needs. Now, we do not want to leave the men out in the cold as there are many men who are secure in their identities that may love these as well. 😀

Drop on by, check them out, and tell ’em Tracy sent you! 😉

So there you have it… I GOT an Epiphanie!!!

Peace out!

PS: The Lyric in yellow and Lola in red I love as well. *hint hint* family and friends!! 😛

Memorial Day!!

Sounds like an oxymoron saying “Happy Memorial Day”. It’s not really a happy time. To me, it’s a time to fly our flags proudly and reflect on those who have lost theirs lives to protect ours. In other words, Celebrate their lives!

So, I say… Have a safe Memorial Day and Blessings to all!

Blessings and Hope!

Losing my mind!!

Aha, got your attention! lol Actually my facebook status from their status shuffle says it all:

Lil’ ole’ me has lost my mind and doesn’t know where to find it, I’ll leave it alone, hoping it will come home, dragging my brain beside it!

I love it and it is so me!!

Things are going pretty good. Being back on Etsy is gr8. I made 2 sales, ty Frannie and Tina, and actually feel like making new things again. It gets me out of my room at least. I still am not feeling the ‘outside’ world yet since my hell stay, but baby steps ya know!

Awaiting return calls from some attorneys, but I think they are afraid of taking on the hospital. So, have some calls today to outside attorneys. You would think they [hospital liaison] would at least call to check in on how things are going, since they told me to keep themapprised on the bills. Ya, RIGHT!! lol They want me to forget, not happening.

My kids are off school for spring break. The girls get 2 weeks, the boy gets one. It’s actually been nice so far. Friends coming and going, so they are not bored. Bored kids are annoying kids. lol So keeping them busy is a gr8 thing. Austin went to Magic Mountain yesterday. FUN! He said he had a blast!

wheeeeeeeee

I love coasters!!! Woo Hoo!!

Hope everyone is having a great day/night wherever you may be!!

Blessings and Hope!

It starts with one person…

Barbara Rhyne tucker was to be without heat, without the basic human essentials in KC, MO. How can this be you ask? Well, even now we still have ‘slum’ lords in our Country that make money off of those less fortunate. Yes, here in the United States of America!

Laurie Zieber took action and sent a call to help out to all her Internet family. For Story, Click here.

This morning, I stood up with Laurie and sent emails to various news stations:

Does Ebenezer Scrooge really exist? He does for the tenants living in the apartment complex with Barbara Rhyne Tucker.
How can this be happening in our World today? How can we allow ‘slum’ lords to deny basic human rights for their tenants?
This man denied a heater to her because she took a stand against his tyranny and called the city on him. Someone needs to stand up and get her story told.
There are elderly in this building as well. In blizzard conditions and without heat, this could be devastating.
So, before you head off to your warm and cozy homes, Speak up and take a stand.
Let’s show the World that Christmas miracles really do happen!

Blessings,
Tracy Radford

When the world says, “Give up,”… Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.”

Steve Kaut from KSHB-TV responded:

We interviewed your friend and the story will run tonight.
Thank you for the heads up.

As you see, it does start with one person, one person who truly cares. Laurie Zieber was that person. Thanks to her and the many people that joined her, Barbara and the tenants at her building will be heard. Stand up against tyranny, stand up against wrong, be the voice, and miracles WILL happen!

Blessings and hope…
