Being a shut in is nothing new for many of us…

With everybody freaking out about being quarantined to their homes and not being able to go out to dinner, go shopping, etc.… This is nothing new for some of us. I’m not sure how to feel about it. It’s actually quite depressing. So for everyone whose lives are being up-ended over this, please get over yourselves. For some of us it’s life as usual.

Buuuuut… I get it, it’s hard. Really I’m sorry that by doing this you’re protecting the elderly and those people with chronic illness and autoimmune disorders. I completely understand that it’s affecting your life. And I’m sorry that people like me have to take extra precautions. I mean seriously, bless your little hearts. But, again, get over your damn selves and just deal with it. 😏

Have courage and be kind.

  1. I don’t have a chronic illness but I am extremely introverted. Being a social shut-in is nothing new for me either. I didn’t choose to be antisocial, but that’s just the way I am. I agree with you – people who are whining and bitching about the social isolation need to get over themselves.

    1. I completely understand. I wish we could choose how we felt and all that fun stuff, but unfortunately we can’t and we do the best with what we have. We do what we’ve got to do 🖤

  2. Hah this is so true. I’ve actually been out more in this last week than I have the last six months though because of trying to run errands while I can (library, prescriptions, bills) and getting groceries having to go around countless stores because of empty shelves (grr!) I’m at high risk and so are my elderly parents that I live with. I’d love to be bored right now. But hearing people moaning that they can’t go to the clubs or go on days out or the gym or cinema with their friends and such… I have empathy to a point but when you’ve had to be isolated and at home for years, propped up in bed because you can’t sit in a normal chair, it does start to grate.
Brilliant post! Stay safe and as well as possible lovely  ♥
